Yes, B.B. Legal is a law firm. The website and name of our software is SettleForFree.
We are able to offer our services for free because the SettleForFree platform asks you to do some of the "heavy lifting" yourself like filling out forms and uploading documents. In addition, we generate revenue in other ways, including, but not limited to referring more complex cases to other attorneys.
No. The goal is to try and settle the matter without litigation! However we will file a lawsuit if we need to in order to preserve your statute of limitations.
Hopefully! But the truth is that not all claims will qualify. Restrictions apply. To find our if your claim qualifies, we need some information and details.
Cases that do not settle can proceed to litigation. We can introduce you to co-counsel who can help you, or you may select your own attorney.
No. When a case is referred to co-counsel for litigation you will have to sign their retainer agreement which will be their standard contingency agreement. Your case will no longer be eligible to "settle for free."
The purpose of the 90 day period is to incentivize everyone to try and resolve the matter timely. There's no reason most claims can't be resolved within 90 days.
The 90 day period only begins once we send a demand letter. It may take several weeks before we have all the information needed to send the demand letter.
No. Participation is voluntary and you never have to accept a settlement offer unless you want to. Once you do sign a settlement agreement, however, it is binding.
If your claim settles within the 90 day period, you will pay $0 attorneys fees. This means if your settlement check is for $100,000 you will receive $100,000 less costs.
Costs associated with your claim may be deducted from your settlement. Costs may include items such as filing fees, shipping, mediators, experts, stenographers or others. Medical bills, ambulance bills and other medical-related bills and liens will also be paid from your settlement.
The law firm charges and ZipClaims, Inc. ("ZC") pays the legal fees. ZC is a third-party payer. ZC is a related company that charges insurance carriers, companies and self-insured's for access to the software platform. Visit www.ZipClaims.com for more information.
Our attorneys are licensed and their duty and obligation is to represent you, and only you.
Register online and complete the questionnaires and upload the needed documents, pictures, bills etc.
We will review your claim and determine if it is eligible for our platform. If so, you will need to agree to allow us to represent you as your lawyer and we we will then submit a demand letter to the insurance carrier.
The insurance company will review your demand and decide to resolve the matter on our platform or not. If they accept it, we will speak with them about your claim and negotiate on your behalf to settle it. We will advise you on their offer, but ultimately it is up to you to decide whether you want to accept their offer or not.
If we reach a settlement agreement, you will execute the agreement and receive your money within 14 days.
If you do not reach a settlement, we will gladly introduce you to co-counsel (another attorney) who will proceed with litigation.
